This beauty was made especially for an amazing friend of mine, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with how it turned out!
The best part? The front panel features a custom print I designed of our friend group’s characters from the game R.E.P.O. 🎮💜 It’s basically a piece of our crazy shenanigans stitched into a purse, and I love seeing it come to life like this!

Crafter’s Log – Bloomdate 08.13.2025 – 21:00 CST
Mission: Operation Zippy 3.0
Status Update:
1. Prioritizing the zipper proved to be a solid tactical maneuver.
2. Liner integration successful. Zero resistance encountered.
3. Water-resistance treatment on quilting cotton… catastrophic failure. Excessive wrinkling compromised structural integrity.
4. Pattern adjustments yielded positive results, though calibration is still required.
5. Material design shows high potential for miniature pouch deployment. Unfortunately, resistance treatment failure eliminates current viability.
6. Considering fallback materials: faux leather remains a trusted ally, denim and duck canvas under consideration.
7. Structural formation of pouch still imperfect. Alignment improved, but further fine-tuning is essential.
Mission Conclusion:
Zippy Version 3.0 provided invaluable intel. Crew morale remains high. Further trials imminent.

Trying to make my own little zipper pouch pattern. Is it perfect? Nope! Did I make an absolute mess? Yes! 🤣
I’d say we had some success with a dash of failure! 😉🎉
I started with a paper mock up folding it into the shape I wanted. Then redrafted the pattern and made Zippy Version 2.0! I need to refigure how I do the construction of it for starters. The zipper was an afterthought which isn’t good. 🙃 I want to refine the shape a bit more so the bottom lays more flat too.
All in all, happy with this little crafting session! Maybe one day “Zippy” will be a refined pattern, but tonight… it’s back to the drawing table my friend! 🤐✍️↪️

Tried out some new watercolor/gouache brushes on my tablet and WOW! If it weren’t for the “not making a mess thing”, i would have sworn i was using real watercolors again!🤩 Just a quick test, but now I’m itching to make a whole series of watercolor-inspired prints. 🎨 So many ideas, so little time. ⌛️🥲
